Description:
Travel for Teens offers the following two unique trips to the British Isles: London & Scotland
Travel for Teens offers hands-down the best cultural immersion experience in the United Kingdom, giving you behind-the-scenes insight and insider access. We combine fast-paced excitement with important insight into the culture, travel on a flexible schedule, and offer tons of options every day so that you can create your own personal trip. The best part of this particular program is the intangible and captivating atmosphere of the UK, something that you won’t be able to truly understand until you actually arrive and feel it for yourself. London and Scotland offer amazing opportunities to delve into cultures that share intriguing similarities and differences with our own American way of life. Our trip begins in London, one of most multicultural and intriguing cities in the world. Here, we’ll check out all the big sights like Big Ben, the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, and St. Paul’s Cathedral, but we’ll also enjoy theater, live music, shopping in the West End and Camden Market, and much more that is not on the average tourist itinerary. Before arriving in Scotland, we will confront and ponder over the enigma that is Stonehenge. In Scotland, you will discover a mystically beautiful land of green hills and heath. Our travels will take us to Edinburgh, the thriving capital of Scotland and home to a bustling student culture. Outside of Edinburgh we’ll make our way into the craggy Scottish Highlands, unscathed by time since the era of William Wallace (a.k.a. Braveheart). This area is host to the annual Highland Games, a serious competition involving traditional Scottish physical challenges and bagpipe music. We also offer a unique excursion to Loch Ness where you just may be the one to finally spot Nessie! Join us in London & Scotland this summer for the trip of a lifetime! Ireland Adventure
Ireland Adventure features the natural beauty, rich history and the wonderfully unique culture of Ireland, combined with exciting activities that will thrill and challenge you. Where else can you combine surfing great waves in the Atlantic with exploring ancient castles and prehistoric cliff-top fortresses? You will be astonished at the rawness and the unspoiled beauty of this great country and will fall in love with the people there, all the more so when you understand their poignant history. For the first part of our trip we’ll base ourselves at a seaside adventure center, where we’ll spend our days kayaking, snorkeling, rock climbing, horseback riding, surfing, and much more. Our evenings will be spent at the center of village life, playing snooker in local pubs, or playing games around campfires on the beach. Then it’s on to the rugged and sublimely beautiful Aran Islands, where the locals speak Gaelic, not English. We’ll ride bikes around Inishmore and explore a 5,000 year old ring fort perched on a cliff. We wrap up our journey in the lively port town of Galway, famous for its traditional Irish music, shopping, and colorful buildings. We run this trip with our signature balance of freedom, structure and safety. You’ll live for ten glorious days amidst historical ruins, on spectacular beaches and across hills painted the intense shades of green only to be found in Ireland.
